Sleep is one of the most requested topics for employee wellness events and health expos.
It is the foundation of performance, productivity, health and longevity. Everyone knows they need it, but they don’t necessarily know how to get it. They have questions but the answers they find online can be confusing and overwhelming.
Let me break it down for them.
In my seminars, I offer clear guidance on how to implement a small number of changes to get maximum results. Below are a few examples of my most popular seminars. If you have specific needs for your audience, I am always happy to tailor the experience.
Seminars are in person or live video with the add-on option to make the recording available internally for 6-month intervals.

Peri/Menopause Sleep
Supporting women through the menopause transition increases productivity and satisfaction and it reduces turnover and lost work days. Many women leave the workforce during perimenopause and menopause–when they are at the height of their careers and expertise–because of sleep deprivation and other troubling symptoms. This represents a costly loss of knowledge base in your workforce.
Sleep can be especially challenging for women experiencing hormonal changes in the perimenopause and menopause years. As estrogen and progesterone levels fluctuate, women can experience difficulty falling asleep, prolonged night waking and/or nightmares. This compounds the fatigue, brain fog and irritability they are experiencing. And it can have serious health consequences. But sleep is not a lost cause in these years. With the right information, women can reclaim their sleep and ease the transition into menopause.
This seminar is 90 minutes and covers the content in my Sleep like a Pro seminar and:
- Why and how hormonal changes can affect sleep.
- How to speak with your doctor about treatment options
- Specific blood tests to request to assess deficiencies that impact sleep.
- How to implement cognitive and behavioral strategies for sleep when hormones are fluctuating.
- Tips for regulating body temperature fluctuations to keep them from waking you during the night.
- And how to spend wisely on products and supplements that work.

Raise a Good Sleeper (For New and Expecting Parents)
Help new parents get their babies’ sleep on track and make a priceless contribution to their work performance and satisfaction. Well rested babies mean well rested parents who are healthier, happier and more productive.
Starting early allows children to grow into good sleepers, avoiding many of the heartaches and struggles of sleep training later on. I have been teaching this class since I first opened NYC Sleep Doctor. One of the moms who attended years ago found it so helpful that, when she returned to work as an editor at MacMillan after maternity leave, she gave me a book deal for what would become The Good Sleeper: The Essential Guide to Sleep for Your Baby (and You). This class teaches the fundamentals of raising a good sleeper from birth.
I will discuss:
- The basics of infant sleep patterns
- How to make sure your child is well rested
- Soothing techniques for fussy babies
- How to help your child learn to put herself to sleep
- How to avoid excessive crying
- How to address sleep problems as they arise
…and how to keep the whole family well rested!
Raise a Good Sleeper (Toddler Edition)
As babies start outgrowing their cribs, speaking their minds, and reaching new milestones, toddler sleep issues arise. This class covers basic methods for handling this time of transition and instilling healthy sleep habits for years to come.
Topics include:
- Transitioning from crib to bed
- Early wakings
- Night wakings and wanderings
- Bedtime routines and battles
- Sharing a room with a sibling
For Teens and Tweens: Take Charge of Your Sleep (And get your parents to back off!)
As children get older, their sleep needs change. My Take Charge of Your Sleep seminar is tailored by age group (8-13 and 14-18) to empower kids to take responsibility for healthy sleep habits. Teens and tweens often don’t know how their habits are undermining their sleep–and they don’t want to hear it from their parents. My approach is straightforward and never condescending.
Topics include:
- The basic science of sleep, biorhythms and melatonin.
- Strategies to create boundaries between the stress of the day and bedtime.
- How to handle stress that creeps into the night and disrupts sleep.
- Setting up good sleep habits.
- Healthy relationships with technology and social media.
- Communicating with parents about sleep needs and habits.
Navigating sleep during your kids’ teens and tweens
Sleep in the tween to teen years is a whole new ballgame. You have made it through tough times of sleep-deprived parenting. But regardless of whether your child was a great sleeper in years past, sleep changes as kids get older and the way we parent around sleep has to change, too. Now is the time to foster healthy independent sleep habits for your kids, setting important limits (hello, screens) and teaching them how to get the sleep they need in the context of schedules and demands that undermine it.
This seminar provides key information about age-appropriate sleep needs as well as strategies to manage sleep behavior, sleep anxiety, and insomnia. Developing these habits now lays the foundation for a lifetime of healthy sleep.
Add on 1:1 Coaching Time
When you book a seminar, consider adding on time for attendees to meet with me privately for a 15-minute consultation. Oftentimes people are hesitant to ask questions in front of their colleagues. This option allows them to get their questions answered discreetly.
